Spring 2012 - Sachin + Babi

The New York fashion week for Spring 2012 has just started and among the early shows, one that is catching my attention is the Sachin + Babi collection.  Inspired by 1970s glamazons Bianca Jagger, Grace Jones, and Faye Dunaway, the collection is spring perfect with a lineup of structured separates for day and slinky floor-length styles for evening.

Bright colors including watermelon, floral, and tangerine for dresses and sleeveless tops paired with thin, metallic, leather belts in dull gold, creates an easy glamour that is sure to be popular come spring. While accessories, the peep toe booties in gold, silver, and white look like a must-have for spring, the jewelery with necklaces, earrings, and cuffs compliment the cohesiveness of the line.

My absolute favourites are the floor length dresses in gold and watermelon, the black skirts and the necklaces.
