Long Skirts

The long skirt... It is here. Everyone who is anyone is wearing it. This time around it looks stronger and more versatile then it has ever. Whether you wear it with a cropped tee for that rock and roll look, or pair it with a simple vest for that hippie chic look, the long skirt looks new and fresh.

One of the best place to find a great long skirt would definitely be a vintage store... especially the late 60s and early 70s. I remember as a child loving the pictures of long skirts in my mum's Golden Hands books.

I just love long skirts and there are a variety to choose from - tiered, ruffled, straight, full... I love them all. It suits almost all types of body shapes... just finding the right one for you is the trick. Here is a look at some of my favourites.

Long skirts can be casual, lounge wear in simple flowy cottons. They go best with the those basic tees or vests. Keep it simple with some nice flats or wedges.

Use a skirt in lace or a flowy fabric like chiffon, and they are perfect for a date. Go overboard and accesorise crazy... make a statement.

Who knew we could look sporty in a long skirt. Keep the look simple with minimum accessories. Team it with sneakers to get that ready to run look or keep it casual with a pair of slip-ons.

Look glamarous in layered long skirt in bright colours with contrast tops and over the top heels.

The original hippie long skirt with those tiers, a classic and super comfy. Wear them anyhow and look natural and cool.

For the everyday casual chic, opt for some bright colours in cool fabrics and be ready and set for the whole day.

So many options to choose from.... wish I could have all of them. Can't wait to make some of them for myself.
