Summer Time

Summer is here. It makes me lazy, it makes me crazy... but most of all it inspires me.

A something in a summer’s Day
As slow her flambe aux burn away
Which solemnizes me.

A something in a summer’s noon —
A depth — an Azure — a perfume —
Transcending ecstasy.

And still within a summer’s night
A something so transporting bright
I clap my hands to see —

Then veil my too inspecting face
Lets such a subtle — shimmering grace
Flutter too far for me —

The wizard fingers never rest —
The purple brook within the breast
Still chafes it narrow bed —

Still rears the East her amber Flag —
Guides still the sun along the Crag
His Caravan of Red —

So looking on — the night — the morn
Conclude the wonder gay —
And I meet, coming thro’ the dews
Another summer’s Day!

1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die

I was randomly browsing Shelfari... one of my favourite sites when it comes to books and I came across this book...

1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die

How cool is this!?! Apparently the books have been handpicked by a team of international critics and literary luminaries. Each entry is accompanied by an authoritative yet opinionated critical essay describing the importance and influence of the work in question. Also included are publishing history and career details about the authors, as well as reproductions of period dust jackets and book designs.
For a quick look at the list... go here...

Now I am off to striking of the books I have read from the list :) Maybe you should do the same too.
