A Rainbow Sweater Story

There are a bunch of old pictures I have collected over the past few years. I call it my Inspiration Archive. Among them I just stumbled upon this picture of Famke Janssen in a rainbow sweater. Love the picture with its late 90s feel. From her hair and styling it looks like the Golden Eye era. I have no idea if this is a advertorial or a editorial shot. Love the rainbow colours. I guess that is the reason why I had kept it in the first place.

Rainbow Timing

The house of Dior brings us this stunning piece called “La D de Dior Colour”. It took Dior two years to make this exceptional, unique timepiece with its prismatic array of more than 800 gemstones resembling a rainbow.

This is true haute couture for a ladies wrist and the specifications are impressive as well. Its case is in white gold (750/1000 palladium 210 white gold) and crown is also in white gold with diamonds. There are 195 diamonds with 1.56 carat, 59 paraiba tourmalines with 0.50 carat, 59 emeralds with 0.45 carat, 58 tsavorite garnets with 0.73 carat, 76 spessartite garnets with 0.85 carat, 52 spinels with 0.49 carat, 45 rubies with 0.48 carat, 53 amethysts with 0.39 carat, 93 sapphires with 1.14 carat, 70 pink sapphires with 0.82 carat, 20 purple sapphires with 0.26 carat, 58 yellow sapphires with 0.64 carat.
