Above, the before. I just did not like the finishing of the purse and the center looked like something fell off.
So, first thing I did was add that little fancy button and plugged that silly hole.
I then sewed on the sequin lace (less than a meter was required for both front and back). Sticking it with glue did not work well (did try the easier way out first) as it was leaving glue spots on the lace. As most purse have lining... sewing the lace worked well for finishing as well as the backside of the stitched were hidden between the leather and lining layer. One has to be a little careful during this step of the DIY.
And voila, my brand new pretty purse is ready. Can't wait to carry it around. The purse turned out to be pretty decent. Not bad for a quick one hour project.
Do let me know what you think? Would you DIY some old clutch of yours?? And if you do... let me know how it turned out.
